The consultation and assessments we carry out at Super Healthy help us to determine the priorities for how to go about getting your body feeling and functioning better. Based on this high-tech mix of tests we believe we can offer you the shortest path to reaching your health goals.

According to our technologies we can calculate the age level your spine is currently functioning at: In other words how many points of spinal dysfunction you have. Our goal is to help you achieve a score comparative and preferably better than your current numerical age.

According to our research the average spinal functional age (SFA) of a person when they first consult us is 63 (the average age is 55). By the end of our initial treatment program people have on average achieved an SFA of 52! We’d like to help you to feel at least 11 years younger to… Based on this research we believe that a single chiropractic adjustment leads to an improvement in spinal function equivalent to being one year younger! With this in mind if you calculate the difference between your current SFA and your current numerical age you can estimate how many visits might be required to reach your health goals.

Our research further suggests that when people then continue with regular tune-ups this steady improvement in spinal function continues. Now, it would be too bold to predict immortality from adjustments, but we have no doubt that regular care leads to significant improvements in life quality.

Now let’s summarise the secrets to ensuring that you achieve this type of progress or even better in the shortest possible time…

fifty fiftyTHE 50/50 PRINCIPLE

We believe that health care is a partnership – 50% of your healing comes from what we do, 50% from what you do. We do the best job we can to provide you with the newest and most effective treatment available. If you are wondering why we use the methods we do, then be reassured that over the last 20 years we have measured and compared many methods and have refined and mastered what really works.

Here are some simple tips to maximise your body’s response to each adjustment:

  1. Keep your appointments: Each adjustment peels away the accumulated stress and strain stored in your body, while day to day life adds new layers. We devise your schedule to make sure that you are taking more steps forward than you are sliding backwards.
  2. Focus your awareness on the area of the spine where your Chiropractor has adjusted with the Integrator. Openly observe any spontaneous movements or sensations in that area or elsewhere.
  3. If you sense any gentle movements of your head, neck, arms or legs; don’t be afraid to slightly accentuate and increase the stretch that they are creating in that area.
  4. Quietly take notice of any changes in your body’s sense of tension.
  5. Work towards developing a breath that produces a wave-like sensation moving up and down your spine, by starting your breath in low down in your abdomen and then filling your breath gradually upwards till it fills to the top of your chest and even up the back of your neck.
  6. Try to increase and accentuate the depth of your breath into the area where you have been adjusted while keeping your breath slow, rolling and easy.
  7. Take a walk after your adjustment before jumping back in the car – low impact movement will help your nervous system to integrate the effects of your adjustment.
  8. Drink plenty of H2O – sometimes your body will flush some toxins following an adjustment and the best way to move them out is to wash them out with water.

The flip side of the partnership is what you can do to help yourself. There are three main causes of Subluxations – Physical, Chemical and Emotional – AKA “The Triad of Health”: Look at the check-list below and tick any that you feel may need some adjusting in your own lifestyle…

Triad of HealthPHYSICAL – The number 3 cause of illness

  • Posture – Do you have a Total Deviation score of >20 on your postural assessment?
  • Flexibility – Are any of your VROM flexibility impairments greater than a score of 10?
  • Tone – The trendy term is “Core” but the bottom line is healthy neuromuscular tone protects your joints, ligaments and discs. Do you need to “tone-up”?
  • Fitness – Sometimes known as “Cardio”, it is important that you are at least “lighty puffing” at least three times per week for 20 minues or more. If not please tick this category.
  • Repetitive strain – Work, home and recreation activities may be risk factors for your spinal problems and we may make some suggestions to reduce this strain on your body.
  • Sleep – Is your pillow older than two years, or your mattress older than ten? Does pain keep you awake at night? Does it take a while to get your body moving in the morning?

CHEMICAL – The number 2 cause of illness

  • Allergies and intolerances – Do you have food sensitivities? Do you have “autoimmune” imbalance such as skin rashes, digestive problems, asthma or chest congestion, swelling (joints, tendons or ligaments), hayfever or sinus problems, or other allergies?
  • Diet – Do you know you should lose some kilograms or would just like to eat a more balanced and healthy diet?
  • Supplements – As little as 5% of the population eats well enough to supply all the micronutrients that are needed to be really healthy (as opposed to eating just enough to avoid a deficiency). Do you currently take supplements or would like further advice on what to take?
  • Personal care products – We access the best quality Australian made certified organic skin care, cosmetics, hair care and personal grooming products. Interested in finding out more?
  • Household chemicals – We access the best quality Australian made certified organic kitchen, bathroom and laundry products. Interested in finding out more?
  • Work related exposures – Do you suspect that you are exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, and/or radiation in the workplace?
  • Environmental toxins – Do you know or suspect that you are sensitive to pollens, dusts, chemicals, high voltage, pesticides, paints, fumes, petrochemicals, solvents etc?

MENTAL/EMOTIONAL – The number 1 cause of illness

  • Is your low coherence ratio score on your emWave HRV test greater than your numerical age?
  • Stress – Do you feel that stress could be affecting your health, or would you like to deal and cope better with the stresses in your life?
  • Negative and anxious thoughts – Do you experience anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, heartburn or reflux, have an ongoing struggle with negative, worrying or tense thoughts and feelings?
  • Depression – Do you suspect you are affected by depression, excessive tiredeness, sleep difficulty or low self esteem?
  • Past hurts and traumas that still affect you – Have you had any major life events (death, loss, divorce, financial difficulties, illness, abuse, neglect) and thinking about them still generates strong emotions?
